Shaping Future Innovators with Digital Dimension STEM & Esports Academy

This summer, Code E Locs proudly partnered with the AAPI Chamber Foundation and Global Gaming League (GGL) to deliver an empowering educational experience for Las Vegas youth through the Digital Dimension: Summer 2025 STEM & Esports Workforce Academy.

The program, which ran from June through July, was designed to expose students to the fast-evolving industries of technology, esports, and digital media with a strong focus on real-world skills, mentorship, and career readiness. At the heart of it all, Code E Locs played a leading role in driving home the mission of diversifying tech and creating equitable opportunities for underrepresented youth.

Code E Locs in Action: Teaching the Future of AI

Code E Locs designed and led two of the most popular sessions in the program

🧠 AI Applications & Prompt Engineering Workshops (June 12 & 26)

Through these workshops, students were introduced to real-world AI tools, learned how to use prompt engineering to generate ideas and solve problems, and explored how artificial intelligence is shaping everything from entrepreneurship to game development.

By connecting complex concepts to relatable, youth-driven examples, Code E Locs helped students not only understand AI but also see themselves as future innovators in the space.

Inside the Academy Experience

Hosted at VU Studios (Global Gaming League HQ) with daily transportation from the Historic Westside Campus, students joined a tight-knit cohort of just 20 peers for a personalized, high-impact experience

Why Code E Locs Was Built for This

Code E Locs exists to bridge the digital divide, particularly for Black and Brown youth often left out of emerging tech conversations. Their approach combines culturally relevant instruction, expert mentorship, and a clear goal to equip the next generation to not just participate in tech but lead it.

Being invited to co-lead a program like Digital Dimension wasn’t just a partnership. It was a perfect alignment of mission and vision
