Code E Locs Brings AI Video Games to life at the NEXT MOVE Summit

On a high energy afternoon at the iconic HyperX Arena Las Vegas, the future felt closer than ever.

The NEXT MOVE Summit, a citywide event designed to empower youth through hands-on exposure to careers in gaming, esports, technology, and digital media, brought together some of the biggest names in the industry and we were honored to be part of it.

Hosted for students ages 13 to 24, the summit created real-time opportunities for young people to explore high impact career paths and interact with professionals from leading companies like LVL UP, Xbox, 100 Thieves, Riot Games, and Gen G Esports.

Getting started with AI Basics

We were proud to lead the AI Basics Workshop, "How to Build a Video Game Using AI," a dynamic, interactive session where students got hands-on with AI tools used in gaming and digital creativity where students got to learn the different components of building a video game and how to use AI to bring a game to life. From live demonstrations to student-led prompt engineering exercises, we showed what’s possible when imagination meets technology.

Our workshop gave students a space to explore, create, and ask bold questions. For many, it was their first time seeing AI not as a mystery but as a tool they could use, build with, and even lead.

Why It Mattered

The NEXT MOVE Summit wasn’t just about the tech. It was about access, equity, and exposure. Here’s why it made such an impact:

• Empowering Youth Through Exposure: Students engaged directly with professionals, mentors, and creators who looked like them and believed in their potential.

• Bridging Passion and Profession: Career paths in gaming, AI, and esports felt tangible, especially in sessions like ours where learning happened through doing.

• Championing Equity: The summit was intentionally inclusive, welcoming youth from all backgrounds into industries where diversity is critically needed.

• Community Collaboration: From educators to city leaders, the event created space for new partnerships dedicated to workforce innovation.

A Launchpad for What’s Next

At Code E LOCS, we believe every student deserves the chance to explore the future through hands-on learning and access to opportunity. The NEXT MOVE Summit was a powerful reminder that when we meet youth where they are with technology, mentorship, and belief, anything is possible.
