On April 26, 2025, Code E Locs proudly partnered with the A’ja Wilson Foundation, founded by three-time WNBA MVP, two-time Olympic gold medalist, and two-time WNBA champion A’ja Wilson, to bring the Unapologetic Girls STEAM 💻🧪 Camp to life!

Together, we created a space designed to inspire, educate, and empower girls ages 12–17 through the dynamic world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math). 100 girls showed up ready to learn, connect, and build! Code E Locs developed a robust four-workshop curriculum and assembled an incredible team of expert volunteers to help make the day unforgettable.
✨ The Workshops - Campers rotated through hands-on, engaging sessions including:
Create a Business Using AI – Turning passions into paychecks through AI innovation
Intro to Coding – Empowering girls to reshape digital spaces by modifying existing websites
E-Gaming – Exploring the world of video games, play, and tech-driven creativity
Science Lab – Investigating electric potential energy and testing chemical properties in various types of water

We were also grateful to have local Psychologist, Dr. Lauren Chapple-Love on-site, providing a calm and quiet corner for any girls who felt overwhelmed, along with essential resources on anti-bullying and dyslexia support.
💫 Moments to Remember
The camp wasn’t just about learning, but it was about connection, joy, and inspiration. The girls had the chance to meet, dance with, and snap pictures alongside our fabulous host, A’ja Wilson herself! Each participant went home with a signed keepsake, a dope goodie bag, and memories that will last a lifetime.

At Code E Locs, we're committed to making tech accessible, relatable, and exciting for our future leaders. This STEAM Camp was just one more step in our mission, and we’re only getting started.
